Who are we?
DisputingWills.co.uk is brought to you by Sydney Mitchell Solicitors which is a trading name of Sydney Mitchell LLP (OC342756). Sydney Mitchell LLP is a limited liability partnership. We are registered with the Law Society of England and Wales. We are authorised and regulated by the Solicitors Regulation Authority (513895). A list of members names is available for inspection at our registered office, together with a list of those non-members who are designated as Partners.  We use the word “Partner” to refer to a member of the LLP, or an employee of equivalent standing.

Professional Indemnity Insurance

We carry professional indemnity insurance with Endurance Worldwide Insurance Limited. The territorial coverage of the policy is worldwide.

In the event we are unable to resolve your complaint, a non-judicial complaints resolution service is operated by the Legal Ombudsman, full details of which are available at www.legalombudsman.org.uk.

Data Protection and Privacy
We will not give, sell or disclose user identifiable information (such as your e-mail address) to third parties (including advertisers and direct marketers) without your express consent.

We will not send you unsolicited e-mails promoting third party services.

Any information supplied to us will be treated in confidence and may be retained by us for future marketing of our own services.

Information supplied over the world wide web to us may not be covered by solicitor/client privilege, until a formal contract or retainer is in force between us.

Once instructed we are bound to treat as confidential all relevant information supplied to us.

If you instruct us to act for you, then we will write to you setting out our exact terms of engagement and seeking your precise instructions on what we are at liberty to disclose to third parties.

Distance Selling Regulations
If you are a private individual, your instructions do not relate to your business and we did not meet you when we took your initial instructions, the Consumer Protection (Distance Selling) Regulations 2000 will apply. This means you have a right to cancel your instructions without cost within seven days of the original instruction. You can cancel your instructions by contacting us by post or by fax to our office.

Once we have started work on your file, you will be charged for any disbursements incurred if you then cancel your instructions.
